Any Question / What is Hell?
« Last post by David on October 20, 2019, 11:45:57 AM »
What is Hell?

“Christian Universalism is growing around the world. Biblical scholars are exposing
the teaching of Hell for what it is and always has been, a tradition of man
which has made the word of God of no effect. Hell is pagan through
and through. Hell does not come from the original languages
of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures.” S.C.F.B.T. Study

General Discussion / Re: Acts 20:20
« Last post by David on October 16, 2019, 11:06:45 PM »

Apokatastasis (alternately apocatastasis from Greek: ἀποκατάστασις; literally, "restoration"
or "return") is the teaching that everyone will, in the end, be saved. It looks toward the
ultimate reconciliation of good and evil; all creatures endowed with reason, angels
and humans, will eventually come to a harmony in God's kingdom. It is based on,
among other things, St. Peter's speech in Acts 3.21 ("Christ Jesus who must
remain in heaven until the time of the final restoration of all things
χρόνων ἀποκαταστάσεως πάντων") and St. Paul's letter to
Timothy in which he says that it is God's will that
all men should be saved (1 Timothy 2.4). O.W.

The Greek word [Apocatastasis] appears in the book of Acts.

"For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final
[restoration] of all things, as God promised long ago
through his holy prophets." Acts 3:21

General Discussion / 5 Short Films
« Last post by David on October 16, 2019, 10:34:34 AM »

These five short films, produced by Ben Sullivan at Novel Motion Pictures,
address key components in a paradigm shift that will transform one’s
perception of God: Hell, creation, Scripture, fear, and “free will.”
All of these five short films are available to watch for free.
1. Hallelujah In Hell, 2. The Flaming Toilet Of Death,
3. The Cutting Room Floor, 4. Journey To The
Magic Kingdom, 5. I Should You Not:

We hope these films stir up a desire in you for discussion with others around these topics.
Often, we can best explore spiritual ideas within the context of community. To that end,
Peter has developed a set of discussion questions for each of these short films.
Would you consider gathering a group of friends to enjoy a time of
connecting and discussion around these ideas? If so,
you can download discussion questions here.

Any Question / Re: Questions

Praise God for Christ who showed us that God is better than we think and gave
us a Gospel that isn’t just “Good News”, it’s “Great News!” – Keith Giles

“As we pray to be possessed and filled with the knowledge of God’s will, let us seek,
in all things, to have our hearts filled with this love. Let us have tongues which
speak of Jesus and His salvation, and a will which finds its strength in
God’s own will–that all men be saved. So will our life, our love,
our work, and our will in some measure be like that
of Jesus Christ–a doing of the Father’s
will, that none of these little
ones should perish.”
Andrew Murray

14-15 Our firm decision is to work from this focused center: One man died for everyone.
That puts everyone in the same boat. He included everyone in his death so that
everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better
life than people ever lived on their own. 2 Corinthians 5 The Message

“…In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses
against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”
2 Corinthians 5:19

If Everyone Will Eventually Be Saved,
Why Preach The Gospel?
Why The Urgency?

“How much hell do you want others to go through? The love of Christ compels us.
That is the urgency.  People must be brought to repentance so they can
experience the full redemption and deliverance which Christ died to
give them.  People will never be saved until they ARE saved.  Does
it not matter to you if your loved ones or neighbors live out their
earthly lifetimes without the joy — and deliverance — that
comes from knowing Jesus? What kind of environment
do you desire in this world for your children?
What about your grandchildren?”

Hell. Has It Always Been Forever? What happens to us after we die?
For the first 500 years after Christ,  most Christians believed that
God would ultimately redeem all of his creation. Hell was real but
it had a positive purpose . . . and it didn’t last forever. Is
it possible that they got it right, and we have forgotten
an important truth that they understood correctly?
I hope people who have a respect for tradition
and a passion for the truth will find this video
to be interesting, thought-provoking,
and perhaps even challenging.
