“Engage is my attempt to equip and encourage people to explore their own
relationship with God. Unfortunately, many people who want to know
God default to religious ways of trying to connect with him,
but get discouraged when those attempts
don’t work.” Wayne Jacobsen

“These videos are a catalyst for you to explore what it means for you to have a relationship
with God as your Father. While a personal friend would be far more effective,
these videos are offered both to encourage people on their own journey
as well as to equip people who want to help others.” Wayne J.*

Coping with Anxiety
By David Morsey

CONCLUSION

The approach to coping with anxiety
lies in the following principles:

[1]
Recognizing that the problems with the fleshly cocoon
do not affect the presence of Christ within one.

[2]
Alleviating feelings of guilt by recognizing the commonality and
inevitability of problems in the flesh and remembering
that God knows our human weaknesses.

[3]
Holding on to one's faith as a gift from God in one's spirit,
even while one is struggling with problems in the flesh.

[4]
Determining the nature of the anxieties--rational anxieties, based
upon determined causes; or irrational anxieties
 based upon physiological factors.

[5]
Seeking appropriate help as indicated
by the nature of the anxieties.

[6]
Dealing with changeable factors
with the help of Christ,
of course.

[7]
Committing the unchangeable factors to Christ for His grace
and His assistance in making the best of it.

Remember, in conclusion, that there is no guilt attached to human feelings of
worry or anxiety. Remember also that faith is the gift and province of God
and is not dependent on human feelings of trust for its vitality. The
discussion of the physical factors of anxiety was brief and
intended only to indicate that there is that side to
anxiety which is beyond the capacity
of the human will to control.

The fact that God can heal such physical problems is not denied,
but is not guaranteed any more than healings in other physical
problems. Sometimes God heals and sometimes He does
not (remember Job). It is therefore as important to
seek appropriate help in these matters, as it
is in other forms of physical distress.

The bottom line is that we are in God's hands, as His children,
and He will work with us in our needs in whatever
way He chooses. Meanwhile we can be
at peace in our spirits in the midst
of the turbulence of our flesh.

The Harvester Mission
Founded in 1929 to provide a ministry of Bible teaching to the harvesters throughout
the world. Today the Harvester Mission continues to offer, without cost, writings
which examine the Word of God,  finding in it: encouragement, guidance,
and assurance. In spite of the confusing doctrines and cultural trends
which tend to dominate religious expression, God's foundational
principles for living remain untainted and relevant, having
provided hope to individuals for centuries. In the midst
of the timeless hassles of being human, one's heart
and mind can be lifted to a liberating encounter
with Jesus Christ. Perhaps these materials
can help do just that for you.

David Morsey

The late David Morsey, a loving shepherd and gifted writer, wrote the materials we
currently offer. David spent a lifetime as a student of the Scriptures, teaching
and counseling groups and individuals to find a foundation for life. His
conviction was to share what God had given him without cost.

How About A Cliff Note?
“There are generally 4 things (and there are more) that God
uses, that he ministers his love to us. That he shows
us who he is and draws us to himself.” Adapted

3. A gargantuan heresy. “It is the lie that says that God will eternally torment most of His creatures;
it is the lie that says that Jesus Christ cannot save most men; it is the lie that says that death
will continue to exist forever, and it is the lie that says there will come a time when God
will never be able to show mercy and love to the majority of those He created. Yes,
this is the lie of religion and it is one that has all but consumed evangelical
Christianity, so much so that the Church's message has become one
of fear rather than one of love and victory.” Read more here:

Jesus Undefeated is a timely and revolutionary book that discusses: Why Eternal
Torment was never mentioned in any of the Old Testament Scriptures. Where
this Eternal Suffering view really comes from. Why the "Hell" language

Church embraced Universal Reconciliation for over 500 years.

“Let us introduce you to Tom Mohn, a brother who’s been on this journey a long time.
Wayne met him five years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has enjoyed a growing
friendship with him since. The last time he was there he interviewed Tom
who shared four things that God used in Tom's life to shape his life
in him. You'll be surprised at some of them.” April 21, 2005

~The Things God Uses~

1. A measure of
success.

3. A gargantuan
heresy.

4. A devastating

“It amazes me how we expect that people will be honest, treat us fairly, and that we will
be rewarded on our merits. We are always so shocked when people don’t turn out to
be who they present themselves to be, or we are confronted with circumstances
we don’t deserve. The Bible is full of that, too. We should know better. Life
is unfair; people will treat you horribly just out of petty jealousies and
personal greed; and not all sacrifices are well-rewarded, at least
in this life. It reminds me to keep setting my heart in a better
kingdom with a Father who is not only incredibly loving
and tender, but honest and fair. Not all will be settled
in this age the way we think best. He won’t always
do what we want, but he will never fail us. Even
through the brokenness of this age he can
guide us, setting us ever more free from
the tyranny of our own desires, to find
a greater freedom in the knowing
of him.” By Wayne Jacobsen*

7 Things Every Christian
Needs To Know
About "Hell"
When it comes to the doctrine of "Hell", most American Christians
know next to nothing about the origins of their own
view [Eternal Torment] and even less about
other perspectives on the topic. ~K.G.
Read Keith Giles’ Blog – 7 Things…

Keith Giles is a former pastor who abandoned the pulpit to follow Jesus and ended
up founding a church where 100% of the offering is given away to help the poor
in the community. He is the author of several best-selling books including
Jesus Untangled, Jesus Unbound, and Jesus Unveiled. He lives
with his wife, Wendy, in El Paso, Texas. Jesus Undefeated
is Keith Giles’ new book available Nov. 9th on Amazon.

What if God is better than you think and hell isn't an eternal torture chamber?
Many Christians are unaware that Universal Reconciliation was
the dominant view of the church for the first 500 years,
with Annihilation and Eternal Torment as minority
positions. Jesus Undefeated  is an eye-opening
examination of all three views of the afterlife
and a God who is even more loving than
we dare imagine. Discover the Gospel
that is not merely “Good News,”
but fantastically
“Great News.”

the point...Keith takes Scripture very seriously, and especially the

and resurrection to conquer death and hades."
